Merodi heard Circe's words and stopped for a second before continuing. Her head held low she began to speak when a passer by bumped into her.
"Sorry," she muttered to the person who continued to move as if she hadn't been there. It made her sad. She was just another thing taking up other peoples air. She was just a small speck of dirt not worth anyones time. She sighed before answering Circe's question.
"All my life I had thought my reason in living was to make my parents happy. Wash the dishes, cook dinner, got to the store...of course, when my teachers found out, my parents got in trouble. You see, I was only seven," she glanced at Circe. Frowning before looking forward again. She smiled sadly.
"People seemed to only notice me when I did things for them. So I did. And they would speak to me. I thought it was the best thing ever." she smiled sadly, seeing how stupid she had been growing up. Then she frowned, looking down at the ground which her feet walked. A thoughtful look on her face.
"Now...I don't know why. It has become instinct. I see what others don't in people that are jerks. I see the confused and abused and some just really need someone to give them a chance." she smiled sadly up at Circe.
"But sometimes, I guess I can't tell the difference. When it is too late to change there hearts."

Circe nodded at the young girl in front of her. She empathized with Merodi. Being an ex-bourgeois everyone payed attention to her for walking into the room. No one ever ignored her. At times it felt like she was smothered with it. Merodi was a sweet girl who had been misguided.
"It is nothing to be ashamed of trying to help people is very noble." Circe paused before continuing. "I spent most of my life being poured with attention."
Linking her arm with the girl's Circe led her through the people. If the girl didn't have a home she was more than willing to take her in. It would be nice to make a few friends while she was here. A life of solitude wasn't her cup of tea, Circe loved to interact with others.
"I loved it but some times I just wished I could just disappear. It happened when I was living in Paris. I slept with many men trying to find love. Then I met my sire. He taught me many lessons in the four years I spent with him." Circe explained reminiscing of her handsome sire who she had loved so much.

Merodi listened intently to Circe. Nodding her head when needed. She sympathized with her, and felt horrible with the thought that Circe had looked for love in all the wrong places. She was glad that Circe had found her happiness through her sire. She did barely even paid attention when Circe linked her arm with hers. She liked the close contact. She was starting to get used to it when being aroudn Circe. She seemed like a touchy person.
Merodi felt a little jealousy when Circe had spoken of always having the attention. She wondered how much of her life would have been differently if she had gotten the attention instead of being a slave for it. She just didn't know anymore.
"I'm glad that at least you were able to find someone..." she muttered, her thoughts going elsewhere as they walked. She thought she would be alone the rest of her life. Never would she have known love like Circe. She wished she could though.

Circe smiled softly at the girl turning the corner with the girl. They walked down a quieter street. She contemplated the tiny girl's life and her own. Pity never went over well with most people, she never liked dealing it out.
"I believe there is a soul mate for everyone. I think there must be some one for you. What ever happened to you I am more than happy to help you with." Circe answered sweetly. "You want to get some thing to eat or some coffee?"
Circe knew she had been fortunate to have grown up the way she did. She never regeted the lessons she had learned as a human. How she learned them on the other hand still hurt sometimes. What hurt more than loosing her sire was being used all those times by different people.

Merodi smiled up at Circe thankfully for her encouraging words. Though, she sometimes wondered if she could read her mind. "No, I don't think I will ever get that chance to find someone. But thank you for your help though." she shook her head, a small smile coming across her face. What kind of guy would be into her?
When Circe asked her question, Merodi squinted her eyes and showed a tint of disgust. "I don't like coffee. And, I think my appetite has been officially ruined for the evening." she meant it slightly on the joke, but it was true. Who could still think of eating after seeing a guys head split open?
Not Merodi. Sure, CSI on TV was fine with her, but it just wasn't the same in real life.

Circe chuckled goodheartedly at the young lady's joke. Nodding her head she tried to think of something for them to do. She had grown quite fond of the young girl. Nothing that she was fond of doing Merodi would be into. Though taking a walk in the park seemed liked a good idea at the time.
"What would you like to do Merodi?" Circe asked kindly letting go of her arm jumping infront of the girl and walking backwards to look the girl in the eye.
The idea of having a friend excited Circe to no end. It had been so long since she had interacted with humans. Now she had found one that she felt was understanding enough to listen to her story. It made her so happy that she could take this young girl under wing.

Merodi stopped for a split second as Circe jumped up in front of her. But as she began to walk backwards, Merodi picked up her pace and smiled at Circe. "Um...I don't know." she stated thoughtfully with a frown. She wasn't the type to do much things. Fun things. She shrugged and smiled apologetically. Merodi didn't go out much.
"There is not a lot of things I do." Merodi muttered, glancing up at the darkened sky before back at Circe. Circe seemed like the type that partied and actually had fun. She felt almost guilty that she would have be slowing Circe down on whatever they were doing. She was human, after all.

Circe smiled at the girl then got an idea. Taking the girl's hand she jumped up. Pulling the girl towards her she giggled. Than she looked up at the sky before looking down the street. With a big grin Circe began to speak.
"Why don't we go to the park and if you want I'll tell you anything you want about my kind. Hows that? I don't feel much like partying to night anyway."
The small girl next to her was now in Circe's eyes a friend and some one she needed to protect. Especially since this girl was so innocent and sweet Circe wanted a friend to protect. It had been so long since she had any good interaction with a human or other worldly being.

Merodi let out a startled squeak as Circe grabbed her hand and jumped all of a sudden. The movement surprised her. When Circe spoke, Merodi nodded quickly. Sure, the park seemed like a good idea. She could do that. Though she wasn't sure about the questions. She was afraid to ask questions, afraid of how Circe would react. She just felt uncomfortable asking Circe about vampire ways.
"I think I can handle that." she breathed. The park seemed fun. Merodi wouldn't mind a walk in the park. It was something much more calming. She let out a deep breath, wondering what else could happen this night. It was still so amazing that she would suddenly be friends with a vampire.

They walked slowly down the streets towards the small park near the downtown area. The swings and play structure were left in disarray. It was not a safe place for children to play. Thank fully no one in the area used it after dark.
"So Merodi is there any thing you wish to know about me? What I can do? I promise I wont get upset." Circe smiled softly at her new friend.
Taking a seat on one of the swings Circe looked at the girl infront of her. One of her favorite things was sitting in a park on a swing. Her mind could just wonder aimlessly before having to come back to reality. Circe motioned to the swing next to her welcomingly.

Merodi followed after Circe silently. All the while she was thinking on how to ask her questions of being a vampire. She thought over everything. On what she should ask first and how she should ask. And soon, they were at the park. She watched as Circe sat down on the swing and gestured toward the one next to her.
Merodi was quick to take it. If anything, she loved swings. She sat down forcefully, letting the swing take in her weight and swining lightly back and forth as she gripped the metal chains that kept the swing off the ground. Kept her from collapsing on her butt.
She sat there silently for a moment. Gently giving herself a push to keep herself swinging. "Okay...where arey ou from?" she asked lightly, and only slightly hesitant.

"Where I am from huh. Well I am from France the Province Anjou. My family was the Borjeois, I was just a young girl. Soon there was a rebellion when I was twelve. I was sent to Paris to live with my aunt. Where I was to continue study and my parents were to meet me there." Circe paused for a moment. "They didnt make it."
Looking at the girl with a small smile she waited for the girl's response. The moon light danced on the two girls and the park. Circe loved to talk about what her she knew. To educate and help people understand.
"What else would you like to know?"

Merodi listened intently as she allowed her feet to push off the ground. Giving her more air as she sat on the swing. France, huh? She felt sympathy toward Circe about her life story. How her parents didn't make it. She stared at Circe, and when she smiled Merodi quickly smiled back at her. She furrowed her brows in thought. What should she ask next? And as Circe encouraged her for another question, she could only ask the question that was most on her mind.
"What was France like?" she didn't know why she was asking really. But she had never been to France. Was it truly like many people made it to be? With Paris and all. The place of love and romance?....now that just made her depressed.

What was France like? Circe thought about it for a moment, before responding. What had it been like for her? It was just like how people said but at the same time it was dangerous and evil.
"Well France is very romantic espcially now. When I was there it was quite different. It was dangerous after dark, the only time woman of class were aloud to leave the home was in a presence of a man. Now it is alot safer and it's still just as romantic." She smiled.
Looking up at the moon Circe made her swing go back and forth. Giggling she thought of what it was like when men would take her out. The resturants, the theaters and the operas. It was all so perfect and magical.
"There was so much to do and still is. Men would take me to all the most expensive resturants. I went to all the plays and operas when they first came out. It was so magical and perfect. I remember the horse drawn carrages, and beautiful dresses." She paused again. "I also remember the more dangerous places the places where no one of my stauture would go. I would eyed and preyed apon of my own free will. They were dirty and gross places where the men were dirty and had barely any money. That is where I met my sire. "

Merodi stared up at the darkened sky, the stars barely visible as they were blinded out by the lights of the city. She turne her gaze to Circe as she answered her question. She listened silently, eyes thoughtful. She turned her head to look into the distance, listening to Circe as she continued. Intent on using her words to form images in her head. She frowned when she spoke of the men that she had went out with. The restuarants and plays....
Merodi would have wished for such a life. Where people paid attention to her and the men wished to know her. Like Circe, who was so pretty. So what was she in comparison? What kind of guy liked a girl like her? She shook away the thoughts as she continued to listen.
Merodi turned her head to glance at Circe, blinking in curiosity as she spoke of being preyed on. She furrowed her brows in confusion. "Why? Why would go to such places if you knew it was dangerous?" she was asking questions without even realizing it. Not even thinking now on how it affected Circe.
